I am wondering if there is a simpler way than exporting a calendar and then printing it. Is there a calendar module/plugin which would be part of TR so that no external calendar software is needed. That way the printout for reports could have one calender page for the week or month. Just a thought ...

NetBeans has a calendar module but it will cost us $800 USD and then we will be able to distribute for free to all members.

If many members would like to have that module rather than using the iCal export, let us know and we will consider purchasing it.

I *might* be interested in the calendar module (and make a small contribution to paying for it), but I'd like to see how it works first. I went to the NetBeans web site, but all I could find was a tutorial that looked like it was for developers. Is there a page that shows what the end user experiences, with screenshots and all that good stuff?

As a simpler solution, would it be possible to add a button to TR that will launch your favorite calendaring application or go to your favorite calendar web site? All I want to do is get a look at my calendar so that I can see what my day/week looks like. I don't need full calendar functionality for that. (Of course, I probably could do this by using TrayIt or some similar application to put the program in the system tray, but I'd prefer the convenience of a button.)

The purchase of the calendar module will be our company cost only. We will NOT seek extra contribution. We just want to know if users will find it useful before we make the purchase.

At the moment, you can publish an iCal file from TR and then import it into your normal calendar program, for example GoogleCalendar, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.. There were a few bugs and missing functionality in the iCal process which we are addressing now. I will start the testing shortly and we will hopefully release the fixes soon.

Yes, I know about the calendar functionality. I'm presently using TR with Google Calendar via GcalDaemon. Before I can say whether I'd like the calendar add-on from NetBeans, I'd like to know what it does and how it works. (Even if I'm not paying for it, I still don't want to waste the company's money.) I'm not proficient or imaginative enough to figure that out without screenshots or a tour, but I can't find either on the NetBeans site.

Is there a simple java based calendar program around? I am using TR on my memory stick and use it in different computers. Java is installed on every machine I use and so it is quite convenient.
The thing in developing countries in rural areas (where I work) is that the internet is not always available (Most of you don't even know any more how that feels like:) ). To build my software survival kid a small calender on my USB stick would be cool.
As easterly says: All I want to do is get a look at my calendar so that I can see what my day/week looks like. I don't need full calendar functionality for that.
