Is there any document that describes the improvements done to the Calendar functionality in the last version of TR?

While I'm talking about Calendars. Has anybody found a good way to synchronize the ThinkingRock calendar with Google Calendar? A while ago (in this same thread) somebody mentioned the GCal daemon. I tried it but I encountered some problems and got a little frustrated. Are there many people here successfully synchronizing the TR calendar with Google Calendar? I'd like to know about their experiences.

I'm stil trying to find a good way to synchronize calendar information across different platforms but I haven't found a good solution. I'm trying to migrate all the information from Outlook to Thunderbird (with the lightning calendar add on) since this app runs in Linux as well as in Windows. Now I'd like to be able to integrate all the calendar information that comes from TR into a sigle calendar that I synchronize through Google calendar.

Any tips or recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

I am synchronizing in Jaunty 9.04 via GCal daemon without problems. Could you tell what problems you have?

NetBeans has a calendar module but it will cost us $800 USD and then we will be able to distribute for free to all members.

If many members would like to have that module rather than using the iCal export, let us know and we will consider purchasing it.

Hi Claire,
how can we find out how many people are interested? Is there something like a poll?

Actually, the problem I have is in Windows. When I run the bat file to start the synchronization process, the dos window pops up and then it freezes before finishing the whole process. I didn't even try it with Ubuntu since I had such a bad first experience in Windows.

I guess I should take this issue to the Gcal daemon forums since they will probably be able to help me there. I just wanted to know whether there were people successfully synchronizing the output of ThinkingRock with Google calendar. Aparently you are. So I will look into it a bit more.

One question. Do you have to create a special calendar in Google for the ThinkingRock calendar? Or is Gcal daemon able to add the ThinkingRock data to an existing calendar and merge the contents?
