Ok, gave up a while back on wifi sync due to "cannot connect to remote." Saw the Dropbox sync feature and I thought I was saved.

However...

Checked bandwidth, no limitations
Installed 3.05.22 plug in.
Set tools, options, iphone to my root dropbox folder on laptop
Dropbox files are up to date on phone.
When I go to Sync Data, it appears to sync and the bars on the iphone appear for Thoughts, Updates, Contexts, Topics, then nothing. Eventually, the Sync Data button comes back.

This is a new database with very little information in it.
is there a limit to the size of the dropbox sync? I originally tried to sync a large (almost 1 mb) TR file.
Is there a way to delete the data on the iphone so I can start over cleanly?

I know this sounds slightly idiotic, but have you tried turning off your iPhone, Turing it on again, and then trying it? I had several apps running on my iPhone that were hogging up a great deal of resources and activity. I had to shut down and restart the iPhone after the app update.

I understand this and periodically do this.

Ok, went into iphone active apps. Shut down all apps, then turned off iphone. Crosses fingers...

Sync gets to 19%, but window pops up in TR saying:

"You are attempting to sync data relating to a different data file.
Current data file: xxx.trx
iPhone data file: yyy.trx
If you continue, ALL iPhone DATA WILL BE REPLACED and NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE IN THE CURRENTL DATA FILE.
Are you sure you want to continue?
YES NO"

I select YES. It appears the sync makes it to 19% (per TR on PC). iPhone shows Thoughts and Updates "done." Nothing on Contexts or later.

After selecting YES, I get another window with a Warning "Dropbox sync did not finish."

Does your file name contains any non-English characters?

The other problem might be the Dropbox folder you specified on the desktop.
The syncup.txt file is created under your root dropbox folder after you press the Sync button on the iPhone, so can you ensure that:
1. You can see the file under the root dropbox folder on the computer.
2. The folder specified under TR/Miscellaneous/iPhone Sync tab corresponds to the one where you can see the file. It has to be the root one as it is the one used by the iPhone.

Notes:
1. the sync files are deleted by the iPhone app.
2. your data file does not need to be on the root dropbox folder. No need to change its current location.

If it does not solve your problem, please send us your log file using our contact us email address.

The file names only contain English letters and numbers, no special characters.

The syncup.txt file is in my root Dropbox folder.

The TR/Miscellaneous/iPhone Sync points to the root folder.

I will email my log file after I search to determine which log file you need.

I have replied to your email but for the benefit of other users, it seems to be data related.
