Texas Offline Senior Boarder Posts: 77 Karma: 0	Hello, Working on Linux with the latest desktop and iPhone app. Can not get sync process finished. Desktop and iPhone apps are hanging... see the screenshot. Those two windows I can not close rather then killing TR. On the iPhone side the app shows that sync is in progress and it does not synchronize thoughts. Regards, Sergei. ***

Texas Offline Senior Boarder Posts: 77 Karma: 0	An update - the bug is floating. Sometimes sync window closes, sometimes it stays opened. Nevertheless data is being synced.

Siddy Offline Gold Boarder Posts: 228 Karma: 9	I've seen this, too. My data is being synced, but the window stays open. Annoying, but at least my information is being passed correctly. I am unable to duplicate it at will, sadly. As such, this won't be much good to the developers for TR on the desktop or the app.

Can you take a guess at how often this occurs? Is it half the time, every 5th time or what? Cheers S8

Texas Offline Senior Boarder Posts: 77 Karma: 0	Funny thing... If you leave the window with sync progress open for a while (after the actual sync has finished) then the button "Cancel" will turn into "Close" and you can close it :)

Interesting.

The reason the code in this area is challenging is that the sync process is a separate thread and it is competing with the UI thread for access to the main database.

can you tell from the desktop app how many actions you have active? Also, do yo have a high percentage with long note fields?
