TOPIC: Member validation problem on TR 2.2.1

Hi

I can ping you OK, but when I try ping -R to you nothing happens for a long time, the terminal just sits there.

I have tried ping on other sites that I regularly use, successfully, and I have tried ping -R on the same sites, again successfully. One UK based, another in Chicago.

I don't think this is a firewall issue at this end.

One other idea. I also have TR 2.2.1 installed on a netbook, in a windows version, and with that computer I can reach you from another location, and the membership is validated from there. I sync with Dropbox. Is there a filter at your end that does not like the same member logging in from more than one ip address?

The ping -R should finish eventually I think.

There is no filter - it should work exactly the same from any location.

I have made and released an update to the TR Membership module. It should now log the Exception when it fails to validate. Hopefully we can now see why it is failing.

What I have now done is uninstall the tr with jre
and reinstalled the tr.tar.gz version

no java problems this time around
and membership log in all fine

not sure that gets to the bottom of the problem ...
but it's all working fine .. which is great

Same problem here: ping -R www.trgtd.com.au works fine but my login doesn't work after the upgrade.:S
