At the moment I cannot sync the TR iPhone app. when I am in the office because the wifi sync assumes that MY PC is on the same subnet as the wifi host. Is it just me or does this seem unlikely?

Please can you add USB sync if indeed this is possible?

Thanks,

Mark

Can you not change the IP address when you are at work? In the next version (coming soon), you will be able to save the entry from the sync screen.

Regarding your second question, it is not possible because Apple does not allow it....

Hi Claire,

Thanks for your response.

Although I couldn't get TR wifi sync working across my office network I bought a wifi dongle and used that to sync "directly" to my desktop ... works a treat. :)

<with-broken-record>Any news on when the next version of the iPhone app. will come out? </with-broken-record>

Thanks,

Mark

One further question on the iPhone app. sync.

What exactly does it synchronize?

I used it and got unexpected results.

Even though they currently cannot be viewd in the iPhone app. I expected projects to be synchronised but they did not appear to be.

I closed two projects on my office PC, sync'd with office PC with my iPhone and then sync'd with my iPhone with my home PC. The project changes didn't make it.

Any idea why not?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark.

At the moment the only parts of TR supported are actions and thoughts.
You can enter new thoughts and view actions filtered by context.

The next version which is currently in the approval process also lets you mark actions as done and sync that back to the pc.

The next block of work we have planned will add more views (today, this week, delegated tasks etc).

Projects are certainly something we want to support after that.
Cheers

Hi Mark,
Can you clarify your situation. Are you trying to sync from your office to your TR setup at home?
Please can you add USB sync if indeed this is possible?
Sorry, can't be done as far as I'm aware. Apple keep this feature for themselves for some reason (i haven't checked the 4.0 api's though).
