Hey, all,
Is there a way to create hyperlinks to things other than web pages or files? For example, my company uses Lotus Notes for email and lots of other things. I often want to link to a Notes document from a TR note, but the Notes Editor seems to support only web and file URLs. Even if I hand-enter a Notes URL (following the syntax that the Notes Editor web & file URL buttons generate - [url|text]), the link doesn't work. (It actually doesn't show up as a link at all, but as the [...] format I entered manually.)

BTW, a URL to a Notes document looks like this: Notes:///35236244005A2C39/A24CF79FA92959028545635600D827C4/84822DF8C0C1CF49C1257961003F56FA

I think that if TR somehow simply handed off handling of the link to the system/OS it would probably work (assuming Notes or the user had associated the Notes: URL protocol to Lotus Notes appropriately).

I use MS Ofc 1Note under Windows XP SP3 -> Win 7 soon.
It has its own internal links to paragraphs or pages, but they
don't work in TR, either.

Being a computer consultant who bills for time, I live in 3
programs all day every day (few weekends off).

1. 1Note 2007 for chronological, dated & timed notes
+ client & project sections with their own notes
Here is what a 1Note hyperlink looks like:
onenote:#section-id={113CAAE3-0C56-4688-8D64-378B97EE7653}&page-id={5EDA84A6-080B-46E2-8C87-E75F11028EAB}&object-id={0A4EC956-BA93-0716-1205-61EDB8AB248A}&28&base-path=D:\Docs\OneNote%20Notebooks\TEST\Chrono.one

This link points to to my main notebook TEST, located in D:\DOCS\
ONENOTE NOTEBOOKS, section (actually a file) called CHRONO.
ONE, and from there to a page dated 10/28/11 and a paragraph
about shelving.

1Note obviously uses an internal data dictionary of some sort.
Perhaps Lotus does as well.

It would be FABULOUS to link to related 1Note sections in the
plain-text notes attached to a project or to-do item.

2. Outlook 2003 for e-mail, w/folders for clients and other types
of retained e-mails, such as for projects
It would be GREAT to just use OL for chrono copies of rec'd
e-mails & maybe for sending, while using TR's e-mail function to
keep e-mails (& someday attachments?) with their relevant projects.

3. Thinking Rock to keep my work and life from flying apart.
I'd keep my notes here with my projects and items, but I need a
master chrono list in 1Note.

I do the same thing, folks! Much of my content and daily work "stuff" lives in a Lotus Notes database.

I captures the Notes URL to reference documents, databases, and the like. I place these in my Reference items as well as my action items.

The links do not navigate to anything within TR, however, this only causes me a slight pain. Whenever I see a Notes URL in an action or Reference item, I copy it and paste it in a Firefox browser which opens up the Lotus Notes referenced item beautifully.

One extra step that would be nice to reduce, but hardly a big issue.

This thread is old, and the thread to which the previous poster (mxt) refers is older still. I just started using TR in earnest and really need this functionality.

Thank you.
