I am strangely OK with this once I went through the pros and cons in my head.
For me, my goals are built on the S.M.A.R.T. criteria (
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMART_criteria). My single actions are like mini-goals. I have a task and a defined success. My projects also have a goal. Sometimes these goals I can associate with my personal and professional goals, sometimes not. Sometimes, there is just work that needs to be done.
Listing our goals is not only a good idea but crucial. It helps us define our priorities, understand our current motives, and keep us on track. Most of my goals do require project-organized actions (lots of steps to cross the finish line).
For those single-action goals I complete, well....little victories are awesome.
