TOPIC: Synching my iPhone via Dropbox does not complete

Synching my iPhone via Dropbox does not complete 10 years 6 months ago #5973

Hello All!

I have an iPhone 5 running iOS 8.1.3,and TR 2.6. I uploaded my .trx-File to Dropbox and see it in my web browser, and from a different machine. When I try to sync from my iPhone, it reaches Ref Items Update (the blue bar is complete) and then it stops.

I looked through older forum posts that say the TR client needs to be running on the workstation for sync to work. Is that still correct? Kinda of defeats the purpose of being able to use DropBox to sync the App data doesn't it?

If TR does no longer needs to be running on the Workstation, what else could the problem be? Where can I look?

Does anyone have an answer?

I found the problem. In Options->iPhone Sync is specified Dropbox\TR as the folder instead of simply Dropbox\.Deleting the "TR" seemed to correct the problem.

Hello,

Are you sure, that Dropbox connection is possible from both, your iPhone and your desktop?
ThinkingRock Desktop has to be running at the moment you do the Synch.

I suggest to do the following.
1. Test Dropbox connection on your desktop
2. Test Dropbox connection on your iPhone
3. Run ThinkingRock on your desktop and verify, that the correct Dropbox directory is configured in the settings.
4. Run the iPhone app and initiate the Synch process.

This should work.
Please let us know if it is working now.

Best regards,
Benjamin

Only in my iPhone the TR app gets updates

The WiFI sync is working (but i need to disable the firewall manually=employer corporate policy)
