I love TR. I really love TR. I love it because it's great.

But lately I came up with this problem:

I'm at home, I arrange my tasks and everything in TR and then I sync this to my phone and I'm all setup and ready to leave home and go to work.

And when I am at work I do some of this options:
1) I open google calendar and try to work on the things there
2) Look at my phone app and into scheduled and into "Today" (makes sense, right?)
3) Look at my phone app and into "Overdue and Today" (and wonder why this is different from the previous but I suppose this doesn't matter, does it?)
4) And then I look into "Do ASAP" and "Today

but it is not easy to access all of my notes on my actions as they are obviously located on a second - much smaller - screen that locks after 3 minutes of inactivity and I have to unlock it again and again.

So obviously this process is confusing (for me that is) and impractical.

The other "obvious" solution would be to print the todos and everything before I go to work (we live in 2013 and we like trees but if this is the way to do it then that's way I'm going to do it). And I go into the TR desktop application and into Reports and then... I can't really decide what to print and what to use!!!

Please HELP me! How do you use TR in this scenario? (Unfortunately I can't install TR desktop app on my work PC).

Hello Panos,

do you have Java installed on your work PC?

Then:
1. Copy the whole TR directory from your home PC to an USB stick.
2. Take the USB stick and put it into your work PC
3. Copy the whole TR directory to a directory on your pc
4. go to this directory -> bin and run TR.exe

I have installed TR on my USB stick and use it also on my work PC.

Thanks for the reply and apologies for getting so late back to you.

Your idea is nice but I don't want to manually sync anything. I hate the idea of working on a file and then realizing it wasn't the latest version so now i have two files with different things inside :(

Also I have TR syncing with google calendar and probably i wouldn't be able to do that from the USB stick (or it would too much manual work/a bit of trouble or risk there).

Further to my frustration on the most critical aspect of GTD as implemented on TR I would like to add the following:

REPORTS ARE BROKEN.

I mean... come on! When I click Reports from the horizontal menu and then I choose any report to come up then my quad core i5 CPU gets on fire for a few minutes. It feels like I'm running CAD files on a 1997 PC!

And then, under file there is another option that says Reports!!

I do understand the value of reports, they are amazing, great, really valuable BUT in order to go into action there has to be just ONE report with the complete list of things to do. Not 15 different options!

And still the "live interface" of the programs feels like the best report that someone can get.

Please guide me on how YOU TAKE ACTION after organizing all your thoughts. Where do you look at? How do you move step by step?

The easiest report is the one you can have from your Review Actions tab. Filter as you wish, order the actions and press the Adobe icon button top left.

Hi Claire, thanks for the reply! :)

Some of my actions/thoughts are in Greek and when I click the Adobe icon they come up with wrong characters so I can't really use this :S Is there a way to change the encode or whatever else so that they can come up properly?
