jpbogers Offline Fresh Boarder Posts: 3 Karma: 0	Hi, I'm starting with TR again after everything else failed... I would like to create thoughts (and topics) on mac and ipad and then import in TR. The thought part works perfectly but I can't get the topic to be recognized. I separate by tab and used three different text editors as well as different file encoding options... What do I do wrong? thx JP John-Paul Bogers Belgium

claire Offline Moderator Posts: 1383 Thank you received: 62 Karma: 67	I have not used any other editor than Notepad and that was a long time ago. The help says: Each thought should be on a separate line optionally followed by a tab and the topic name. If the topic does not exist or is not recognised, the topic "None" is set. Which editor have you tried and I can do some testing on my Mac.

jetienne Offline Fresh Boarder Posts: 2 Karma: 0	I came across a similar issue. I was able to resolve it when I made sure that the topic in TR matched exactly to the topic name in the import file. I found that several of my Topic names had trailing spaces in TR. Once those were removed my Imports worked correctly, and included the topic. Note: Trailing spaces also matter in the Import file.
