I have some "Projects" that have stalled, taken a back-burner and aren't going to go ahead right now. The suggestion for Projects like that is to take them back to your Someday/Maybe list since they're not active. I can't see a way that I can do this directly in ThinkingRock, except to make a new "action" with the Project name and move that into Someday/Maybe... is there a way? Would be really nice if any actions in a project could move too. Thanks!

For me a Someday/Maybe is something you might do one day. Once a project has been started or planned, you should move it to the future projects tab (cut and paste the project between the two hierarchies). None of the actions belonging to a future project will appear in the Review Actions screen nor will they be synced to a mobile device.

You can also add a start date to your future project and TR will move it back to the (current) projects tab when that date is reached.

I also feel someday/maybe is a bit too generic in strict GTD, I prefer having an intermediate "later" place for things that should be done ASAP but I know I can't get to for a while. However I think GTD would say to put those back into someday/maybe so I understand the request.

I was wondering about this "future projects" tab. Is putting stuff there manually the only way to get things in there or do scheduled actions also go there? What about inactive with a later start date, are they not considered "future"?

As I'm going through the screens, panes and tabs, more and more I feel it's a bit scattered, disorganized and sometimes redundant. But this is getting off topic, I'll think about it a bit more and post some suggestions separately.

Thanks for the suggestions. I wasn't sure about the "Future Projects" It is a bit odd that you have to cut and paste them from the current to Future projects list, I never would have worked that out!

Where can you set a 'start date' to move it back to the current projects? I couldn't work out how to do that. THank you!

If you don't see the start date (and due date) as part of your project detail panel, go to Miscellaneous/Project tab and add the fields. They are optional.
