TOPIC: Any update on the "dependant actions" topic?

Any update on the "dependant actions" topic? 14 years 8 months ago #2830

I just added a couple of tasks to a project of which a couple of them are dependent on a previous action.

Is there any way to add a "dependent on" field or some other mechanism, or does that that just crank open a can of worms that won't be worth the time or energy?

Currently, I'm just adding a comment in the notes, "This action can not be started until the required items are purchased"

You can list tasks within a project and have them turn from inactive to active when the previous task is marked complete.

Under the TOOLS tab, select OPTIONS. Select the PROJECTS tab, then make sure the box is checked for sequencing actions.

I also use the sequencing functionality to hide actions which can not be done before another action has been completed.
