TOPIC: How to set up "Current Active" view

Hi All!
I would like to set up a view which shows current active items.
For me current active are ones where start date is within a week ago and today.
The problem's that this works for ASAP and Delegated items BUT scheduled does not have a start date.
You can select items based on action date but in this case for ASAP and Delegated items you miss the start date when you have to start paying attention to them...
Now I use two separate views for scheduled and the rest.
Will be glad to get your experience.
