Hello,

I recently noticed that the new notes field (TR 3.0.x) uses CTRL-ALT-e as shortcut to toggle the editor-field active/inactive.
Unfortunately in Windows, CTRL-ALT and the ALTGr-key are the same, so I can't enter e.g. the EURO-symbol (ALTGr-e on German keyboards) anymore :-(

It is recommended not to use CTRL-ALT for shortcuts at all, please see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AltGr_key :
... Windows began to allow all keystroke combinations involving AltGr to be typed by using Ctrl+Alt in its place. Therefore, it is recommended that Ctrl+Alt not be used as a modifier in Windows keyboard shortcuts as, depending on the keyboard layout and configuration, someone trying to type a special character with Ctrl+Alt may accidentally trigger the shortcut,[3] or the keypresses for the shortcut may be inadvertently interpreted as the user trying to input a special character.

This issue will affect many European users.

Regards,
thorn.

Hi,

Any plans as to when the fix will be available? I absolutely agree with thorn: the usage of CTRL-ALT shortcuts is a major hassle. In the Polish language, for example, CRTL-ALT-e is used to create the diacritic version of the vowel e - so it occurs quite often and trying to remember not to use it when typing notes makes me go bananas ;).

Otherwise, TR 3.0 is great stuff.

I see TR 3.1.2 is out but still no fix to the shortcut problem....
Is there a bug tracking system where I can report the problem and monitor its progress?

I don't know of one but I think it is an excellent idea. Trying to capture bugs and looking for updates in the forums is cumbersome at best.

Might I be so bold as to suggest the following to the TR team?

www.bugzilla.org/
