Hi,

I'm interested in Evernote tool add-in in TR.
Still, I'm note sure having a rich text editor would considerably increase file size.
It would probably use XML to markup text.

I'd prefer that sceneario. Let's dream a bit:
Select Evernote as text and note editor in Options.
EN than replaces the "~local text".
That would prevent clicking on links, but directly insert note content in TR.
Issue ? How do you migrate all your ~local text with Evernote ?
Let's dev have a brainstorm on that :)

Well, let Claire statuate on this.
Both direction are interesting.

What I say will increase file size is if we start encouraging large amounts of text in the notes field, not just the formatting. I am no expert but what made me say this will increase file size and lead to problems is that 2 years ago I was having some major problems with TR. Jeremy kindly looked at it and told me that my TR database file was too big.

The reason was that I kept lots of notes for each task. I have since switched to keeping just bare essential notes for each task and for richer notes (with formatting, sound and text), I just use Evernote and then insert a link of the Evernote into the notes field (using the link button in TR)

How do you link to an Evernote note in TR 3.5.1?

Thanks - Phil

Yes reach text edit ability is really needed. And don't forget Undo and Redo buttons. Because of now CTRL+Z and CTRL+Y is not work in Ununtu.

For Evernote link, go to the Evernote document, right click and get the share link. Paste it into TR notes.

The link looks like:
evernote:///view/45465740/s245/local/x-coredata://B12EC5D4-EE3B-4182-B789-6BCEEE265E06/ENNote/p25/
