ThinkingRock Software Download - Free version
You will only find the free version on the SourceForge page. Please open the TR2.2.1 folder, select the file you require for your operating system. The tr-2.2.1-source.zip file is only for developers as ThinkingRock is an open source project. Here is the SourceForge downloads page link.
We recommend that you download the latest version of TR 2.0. If you have taken the time to download our software, please take the time to read the Getting Started documentation.
Upgrading from v2.2.1 to the latest version 3.0.3 (available to licensed/members users only)Steps to upgrade:
- If not a member, purchase a license;
- Make a backup of your data file;
- Upgrade to Java 1.6 if still on 1.5. No known issues in upgrading;
- Login to the website;
- Download the package(s) corresponding to your platform(s) and language (UK English, American English, Spanish, German and French available);
- Install new version;
- Open data file using Open File option. Data migration of the Delegates is done automatically.
Notes:
- Once you have OPENED your data file with an older version, you cannot use it anymore with a previous version.
Virus alert from Avast software
A few users have informed us that Avast gives an alert that there are two worm viruses when they tried to download our software. A user has scanned the modules with AVG 8.0 and no problems were found (see the following topic). We have contacted Avast to report the problem.
New modulesThe application ThinkingRock will inform you when there are new modules available. When you install them, there will be a warning message saying that the module is not signed. You can ignore it. ThinkingRock will only check for new modules from our website (see the address in Plugins - Settings Tab).
Linux Package InstallationThanks to Rudolf Adamkovic, Salutis and crazyscot (see forum topic), you can now install ThinkingRock on Ubuntu and Debian (Lenny).
Instructions:
- In "Applications" menu click on "Accessories" and then on "Terminal" item
- Enter these commands: sudo -s
- In "Applications" menu click on "Office" and then on "ThinkingRock"
echo deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/salutis/ubuntu intrepid main > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/salutis.list
aptitude update && aptitude install thinkingrock
Package is designed for Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. It also works on Debian (Lenny).

PocketPC companion for ThinkingRockThanks to Murat Yildizoglu (see forum topic), you can download a PPC companion for ThinkingRock here. New version includes actions trees by criteria.
Add Thoughts hotkey script for Autohotkey (for Windows user only)Thanks to Taylor Reid (see forum topic), you can download here the script. Enclosed are both the plaintext and compiled versions of the script and a readme.txt to help explain what you have downloaded.
Python Script to print actions on Index CardsThanks to Scott Novis (see forum topic), you can download here the script. The script creates PDF files from Action Lists exported in xml format for printing on 3x5 cards, PocketMods and AveryLabel 5388 laser perforated 3 to a page index cards. Has been run on a Mac and Windows machine.
