Synchronizing data with the Android application can now be done through a USB cable, or using WiFi. You will need to specify the sync method under Options (Windows or Linux) / Preferences (Mac) / Miscellaneous / Android Sync tab.
There are instructions at the bottom of this page to help you with these two syncing methods.
The Android application is free but the TR desktop module to sync is only available with the paid version (3.4).
The application needs a phone with Android v1.6 or higher.
Functionality (v1)
- collect new thoughts and edit them;
- view Do ASAP actions;
- view Scheduled actions;
- view Delegated actions;
- within each status, there are 3 views: Today, Week and Anytime;
- ability to filter by context, topic, priority, time and energy;
- ability to sort by multiple fields.
- ability to check actions to done ;
- ability to change the Action date;
- ability to edit Action Notes.
All Inactive and Scheduled actions to do that have an action date in the past and within a month in the future from today's day are synced. All Do ASAP and Delegated actions are synced.
Once new thoughts have been synced to the desktop, they are removed from the device.

The default sync IP address on your Android device should work if one of the following is the case:
a) your Android device is connected directly to the computer running TR, or
b) the computer running TR is connected via ethernet (wired) to the WiFi access point (that your Android device is connected to).
If the default sync IP address does not work (probably you don't have (a) or (b) as above), you can try either of the following:
1) Set up an "Ad Hoc" wifi network on the computer running TR and use that connection.
2) Find out the IP address of the TR computer and use that for the sync IP address:
Windows 7: Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections >
right-click "Wireless Network Connection" choose Status from popup menu, see value for IPv4 Address
MacOSX: System Preferences > Network > Airport > Advanced > TCP/IP > see value for IPv4 Address
Also make sure that you do not have a firewall blocking connections on the port.
