In the Action Screen filters is "Action Date"
What is "Action Date" ?

All other dates in this list match either a field in either Action or Project, but I have not found an Action field.

Thanks,
Dwight

Go to Help > 60 Review Actions > Columns

It is mixture of the dates that determine when an action needs doing. It is quite complex but if you put a filter on your Actions screen whereby

ActionDate<=Today

it seems to bring up the Actions that you will want to see.

I am learning ThinkingRock and have some observation -

For Inactive, Action date is set to the Start date.
For DoASAP, Action date is set to the Due date.

Shouldn't this be reversed? For inactive, it is more like acting no later than the due date if due date is set. For DoASAP, the action should kick in as soon as the Start date.

Thanks and regards -

The start date will automatically turn an inactive task into a Do ASAP task.

This confused me at first, but now I make any task that I can't do immediately 'Inactive' and set the date when it should be made 'Do Asap'. So, your filter should just be on 'Do Asap' not 'Do ASAP' and action date.

The idea is that start date and project sequencing can be used to systematically change inactive to asap.
