Misc bugs with the Notes field has been mentioned as an issue to resolve, but I didn't see any mention of there being no visible caret. I'm on Win XP.

This only happens if you double-click to start editing in the field. If you use the pencil button, the caret appears just fine.

Actually, I would personally prefer for the field to be unlocked/editable by default instead of needing to activate it. Maybe even a hot key to jump right to it, since it's used so often.

And a big thanks to all involved in this project - it's of very high quality & I've recommended it to several friends!

I would second the request to make the notes field unlocked by default,
this is especially obvious in the project entry form, where the fields for vision/purpose/organizing are editable,
but only the notes field is locked, this is somehow not consistent, and it's just a small additional step which is slowing down the data entry,
I see no benefit in locking the notes field, or is this required to display http links correctly ?

The http links thing is probably the reason for locking them by default. Although I handled it in a program I did long ago (ReadyNotes), where links were made click-able by holding down the Ctrl key. Active links while editing can be both tricky and messy.

I think that slowing down data entry for a side feature is not the best trade-off. Of course an option/preference is always the ideal for the user - fields locked by default - yes/no. And of course, more work for the coders..

The caret problem will be solved in version 2.0 final.
