If TR had another field like the status field that could accept an email to yourself then I see it as being a great way of emailing an invite to an event that could then go into say Google calendar? As it is I already have my staff email me an invite when they book me a slot in my Outlook diary and it goes straight into my Google diary.

How easy would this be, would it get over a major problem of scheduling work across more than one system?

If it were possible to set this up as a simple routine with a standard 'invite' to be sent to a calendar system then a simple check box would be all that was required.

I am not quite sure what you mean. Are intending to send data
1.) From TR to your calendars.
2.) From your email/calendars to TR.

To be honest I would have thought that with regard to (1.) you would be better to set this up in Outlook (or where-ever) where you have a natural method of selecting all the attendees from your email contacts.

With regard to (2.) I cannot see the benefit of putting this in TR unless you mean just a reminder to "decide" whether to attend or not. In that case the orignal email is like any other email that needs a response.

Have I over complicated or mis-understood?

I like being able to schedule what I am going to do in TR and then I have a list of things to attend to on a day, and tick them off as they are done. However as TR is personal other people have access to my main diary in Outlook and also in Google it would be nice to easily have anything I schedule in TR to also be entered in the diary.

I know I could just copy stuff across, but thats kinda not the GTD method.

They are becoming like a symbiotic relationship....... one informs the other.

Not my cup of tea but I now understand what you are aiming for. Thank you for explaining.
