Hi

I use TR every day to run my life so I have a lot of faith in it, but there are still a few crunchy bits on the sides to sort out.

I have a recurring action to do X every few weeks. But when X comes up, its not a 'hard landscape' date that must be done today, rather it can be done today or in the next few days as life allows.

I interpret Action Date as hard landscape, and Start date as 'it would be good'. So when task X pops up, I changed it from Scheduled to ASAP, and put today's date in the Start Date.

With recurring actions, if you change things like the Priority on the first Task screen, it only affects the current instance. So I figured that changing the Status would only affect the current instance. But alas, it seems that once I ticked off my current edited version of X task, the whole thing dropped out.

I have another recurring action Y of things I like to do on Monday. But if I dont get to it Monday, no drama. I do the same status change with it (ie/ from SCHEDULED to DO ASAP) every Monday and put today's date in the Start date.

But because this recurring action reccurs on a fixed cycle (every week) rather than a period after the last time, the whole task keeps recurring.

I think someone mentioned it before, but the way Outlook and Palm handle changes to recurring actions is to be very explicit about what is being changed - single, all or all future. Their method of asking with a pop-up dialogue many not look or feel elegant, but at least it doesnt lead to inconsistencies or misunderstandings.

Cheers

I will look at it shortly.

I "second" TweakAdInfinitum's comments. I'm finding it confusing to change recurring scheduled items. Sometimes TR keeps creating them on their scheduled dates and other times it doesn't.
