Observed few issues with the Edit Button behavior for the Notes Editor.

(a) The Edit Button setting on the 'Edit Thought' Notes section creates problems when user changes application window.
Take this workflow:
1. User is typing thoughts/ideas on 'Add Thoughts' or 'Edit Thoughts' Window.
2. User changes focus to say Email Browser window. Picks up some thought/todo.
3. When User again changes back focus to TR window, the Editing button has changed. So user needs to use mouse to click the button before he/she enters any data.

(b) If user double clicks on the Notes Editor Panel, the cursor is not visible even if the editor panel is in editing mode.

It would be great if the editing mode stays on, till user changes it forcefully for easier dumping of notes etc while navigating through application windows. This applies to Action Notes as well.

I agree with (b). The same problem occures when you first click on the Edit Icon and you have the cursor, but then double click on a word to mark it. The cursor disappears until you re-edit the note field.

I struggle with this constantly. I need to be able to cut and paste from other applications into the editable fields such as Notes. This need occurs sometimes dozens of times a day, and losing editing focus when switching away is very frustrating. Please do what you can to preserve the editing mode when switching away and back to TR.
