TR 2.0 Epsilon on Vista Home Pro: Imported thoughts from my usual txt file. Up pops this lo-o-o-ong error message, spanning about 2 1/2 screens (horizontally) on 1440x900 resolution: "the data file could not be read due to the following error: no more data available - expected end tags </description></action></children> [...] parser stopped on START_TAG seen ...<description> ... ".

I have made a HUGE amount of changes just before importing thoughts: added an action screen, added criteria, rearranged projects - and none of my backups reflect this, including .bak.trx. What happened? The thoughts I added included URLs with /. Maybe that's the problem?

Don't know why - URLs should be ok.

If you want I can look at the files and try to recover the data.

BTW. As you probably now know, its a good idea to backup your datafile often - you can use the File, Save To menu option or backup your hard disk. The purpose of the .bak.xml file is to be able to recover from any problem during the file writing operation. It should not be relied on as a backup of your data file.
