Hi,

I'm using Gamma 2.0 on WinXP.
When double clicking on an action in the actions pane, the 'details' of an action open op at the bottom of the screen (details pane).
To properly double click the action, you have to hover with your mouse above the action.
I noticed that I often try to select another action in the upper actions pane, because the mouse is still there. However, when you click on another action with the mouse, the details pane closes up again.

1) Wouldn't it be more logical to keep the details pane opened, until manually closed (by means of clicking the closing icon) ?

When clicking on the small cross (closing icon ?) on one of the panels in the details panel (the single actions pane or the actions pane), the panel doesn't close, but instead the pane maximizes.

2) Wouldn't it be more logical to make the function of clicking the small cross closing that pane ? Clicking on the tab itself instead of on the cross could be the function of maximizing.

1. The next version will not require double-click and will be kept open.
2. The close window x is disabled - I haven't figured out how to remove the x yet.
Double clicking the tab maximises the window within the app frame - double-click again to restore to original position and size.

Does that mean I cannot get rid of this window at all? I know I may drag the upper window down. But I would have to drag it back up to get access to the details pane. What I would prefer instead is a close window button to close the details pane when I no longer want to look at it. The details pane is very distracting when it is time to go through the lists. And it doesn't belong there at all IMHO.

As well as dragging the sliding bar down (to hide the details pane), you can also double-click on the actions screen tab which will maximise that screen in the application frame - double-click again to restore.

That double-click works like a charm. Another nice, but well hidden feature. A button doing the same thing would be very comfortable and newbie/user friendly.
