Great program--thanks so much!

The help file indicates that "The iCalendar file is output every time the datafile is saved (at least every 30 seconds). It will be populated with Do Asap actions as To Do items, Delegated Actions with a follow-up date as All Day Events and Scheduled Actions as Specific Date and Time Events."

I'm getting the latter two, but my Do ASAP items are not showing up as To Dos. I'm running Mac OS X and TR 1.2.3, with iCal.

Is this easy to fix?

Many thanks.

It should generate TODO items (that you can see in iCal) for all ASAP actions that are not done.

First check your user preference settings.

You could then look at the .ics file generated and see if there are any entries like:
Code:
...
BEGIN:VTODO
DTSTAMP:20060929T065832Z
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20060929
DURATION:PT1S
SUMMARY:Confirm diner
UID:176@thinkingrock.com.au
DESCRIPTION:
LOCATION:@computer on-line
END:VTODO
...

You could also see if there are any error messages are output when the export is done. Start the Console.app (in Applications/Utilities) and look for just after the data is saved.

Please reply with the above info and I will try to solve the problem.

This might be a no-brainer, but it might be an iCal option...

1) in iCal, select your Thinking Rock calendar in the left-hand "Calendar List"
2) if it's closed, open the "info" panel, and ensure the "remove To Do items" checkbox is not ticked.

Works for me (OS 10.4.8, iCal 2.0.4, TR 1.2.3)
:)

Okay, I'm an idiot and I apologize for it. I was moving too fast and saw the "Remove XXX" boxes in iCal's options as "Include XXX". So, I was telling iCal to remove the entries. In the word of Homer Simpson, "Doh!"

Thank you for the help all.
