Hi,

I use TR on my memory stick on both Macs and Windows, and find that the Mac download won't open on Windows, and vice versa.

Just curious why that is- are they compiled for each platform?

I get around it by putting both versions on my memory stick, and having both versions reference the same data file. It works perfectly fine, so no worries. I was just curious-

I'd guess that a PC executable doesn't work on a mac, and vice versa.

And this is better than a .jar file.

How did you reference the data file on the memory stick so that both programs can access it? I read in another post that someone put the reference file inside the installation folder on their USB stick, but in this case you are dealing with two installations.

You have to (until the update the software) open the package (osx) and then change the thinkingrock.props file (I think that's what it's called.)

Just to finalise this thread: v1.2.2 does not use the props file anymore. There is an Open File function which let you choose which data file to open.
