Great work TR team! I am looking forward to the RC1 release for the PC coming up. I have one suggestion I would like to throw out there to see if you think it would be useful. I have enjoyed the "Multiple" filter option when reviewing actions, but I would appreciate the option of saving a "Multiple" filter as a Named filter that can be reused in the future and would then appear in the dropdown for that filter category.

The need for this comes from using TR at work and at home with the same file. I have certain Topics and Contexts that apply to both work and home and others that apply to just work or home. Currently, since I use separate computers for work and home my "Home Filters" can be set to the specific "Multiple" filter settings that I use in each location, but it would be nice to quickly be able to switch between these filters. Also, it would be a way to quickly understand what my filters are set to when I see "Multiple" as the filter value.

I think that this filtering feature would be most useful for Topics and Contexts, so limiting it to just these two, I would suggest the following changes:

1) Context/Topics setup screens - Add the ability to create Composite Contexts and Topics. These are simply Topics that can contain multiple Topics and Contexts that can contain multiple contexts. These screens can allow creating/editing/deleting the composites just like the normal topics and contexts.
2) Review Actions screen - Add a "Save" button to the "Multiple..." pop-up dialog that will save the current filter as a Composite. The composite name would need to be inputed here as well.

I know this would be useful to me, would it be useful to others?

Thanks again for the great work!

I like the idea of naming filters. It would be very useful, as described by puddleg.

I'm going to have to disagree, I think that you can already do what you want by just adding more action screens and so I would vote against adding this functionality. In fact I would suggest that action screens are quicker than constantly changing the filters - you can just switch tabs.

That's a good idea. I hadn't thought of that before, I will have to give that a try! In my case of having two "meta contexts", action screens will probably suffice. I would also add, though, that since contexts and topics already have their own screens dedicated to customizing them, the concept of composite topics/contexts is more of a smaller step. But if there isn't much need for this, then I agree that it shouldn't be added.

I'm not going to argue with that! Thank you for the tip.
