Hi, I like the ThinkingRock 2.0 epsilon that I just installed a few days ago, however after using it for a while I just bumped into my first 'heh, what??' moment.

I just noticed that the main part of the window is actually a 'tabbed' page, with only one tab open at the same time, that can't be closed even though it has an close button on the tab. This feels very strange... (and wastes some screen real estate.)

If this is the start of an implementation with tabs then fair enough, but since you already have the buttons to switch between the different views, also having tabs may be a little redundant. Certainly because right now everybody seems to be happily using it without tabs?

As much as I hate talking to myself, I just noticed that when you click on actions, this same tab list is used for all the tabs in actions. They all have the little cross for closing them, which doesn't do anything, but at least there's more than one.

I'm thinking while typing here; would it be useful to just have everything in the tab list (iso buttons at the top)? Probably not, it would result in many tabs and it would become confusing. Since there is no way to reopen a tab having the close button do something would not be very useful either I guess.

So I think my original idea still stands: remove (or hide) the tab bar when there can be only one tab (all pages except actions and projects? topics/future items uses two tabs but they are just on 2 sides of a divider, same for info), and remove the close button from the tabs.
