Hi,

I'm often creating a history log in the notes fields. For this purpose it would be very useful and efficient to have a short-cut key to insert a Date Stamp into the textarea. It would just write the actual date at the cursor's location.

What do you think?

Is there any way to do this, whilst awaiting the 2.0 release?

I am using the Notes field to track conversations etc so frequently like to add a time stamp.

Sapphie, yes with either a program such as ActiveWords (not free) or a scripting prograom such as AHK (Auto Hot Key, free). If on mac I'd think the applescript stuff could do it.

Thanks, I have added something to my version of the AddThoughts script to both

1 - specify an extra hotkey that enters a time stamp anywhere
2 - automatically adds a timestamp to the start of my notes field when it pastes the contents of my current app's selection.
