I've been using TR many years ago, switched to other applications (iGTD) and now want to re-consider TR 3 for my task management.

I've installed the Trial and wanted to enter some actions and projects, and IMHO it is really difficult to work with dates (as they seem to have to be entered by hand completely DD MM YYYY) or picked with the calendar.

Many other applications have "intelligent" date fields which understand abbreviated entries and
I would wish TR could understand the following (or similar) abbreviations and expand them to a complete formatted date:
for example
(today is January 13th 2012, in my date format 13.01.2012)

23 -> expands to 23th of current month = 23.01.2012
+5 -> in five days = 18.01.2012
+1 or "tomorrow" (or other language options) -> 14.01.2012
-1 or "yesterday" -> 12.01.2012
+2w -> in 2 weeks = 27.01.2012
+3m -> in 3 months = 13.04.2012
+5y -> in 5 years = 13.01.2017

and also recognize weekdays (preferably according to the GUI / System language):
th -> thursday this week = 12.01.2012
nth -> next thursday (not including today) = 19.01.2012

and if possible it would be great to also be able to enter something like:
su+2w -> 2 weeks after next sunday = 29.01.2012
etc.

(I had asked a similar question long ago and I wonder if this has been implemented in the meantime or if it would be possible to implement that soon.
I'm using a system (different from "pure GTD") which relies heavily on start dates.)

Kind regards

Martin

I like your suggestion. We will try to implement it soon.
