I did a search on project tree visible and didnt' find anything in the first few pages so I decided to post, this may be user error.

Summary: On the project tree some of the project description text only appears when the project is selected.

Problem identification: At the project tree I see a tree of projects and subprojects. Some of projects have description text that is visible and some projects have description text that is not visible. Projects with description text that is not visible will become visible when the description text is selected.

I can't seem to make the not visible description text visible permanently. I can however, copy a project that has description text that is visible and paste that project as the start of a new project and the text will stay visible.

Is this a problem or is this some user error.

Figured it out. The Topic text color white was carried to the project, however, the topic back ground color was not. So whenever I used a topic with white text, the project description text was not visible. I chose another color for topic texts to avoid lighter colors.

I had this problem too, had setup a bunch of dark background colours with white text, then had trouble seeing projects/tasks when navigating around the program.

I actually stopped using TR shortly after trying it out because of this and hadn't touched it in many months. Surfing around today I noticed 2.0.1 was out and thought I'd give it another try to see if it was any better.

Like the OP noted, you have to have light background with dark text to be able to see the tasks/projects, and if you change the colours/background you have to shut the program down and re-open it for the changes to take effect.
