Jeremy and Claire, thank you very much for the performance improvements made in RC2. RC2 is noticeably faster than RC1 or even Epsilon.
I found a minor bug today and wanted to let you know about it. Here are the steps to reproduce:
- Go to Actions screen.
- Observe the title for an action towards the end of your list.
- Enter a search term in the search field that will find the action from #2.
- Click to highlight the action in the search results.
- Clear the search phrase and hit Enter.
Expected result:
Full action list is displayed with highlighted action still highlighted.
Actual result:
Full action list is displayed with highlighted action still highlighted
and multiple actions above the selected action.
For example, if I select a non-scheduled action from my list after searching, clear the search, then all the actions above that action are all highlighted. If I do this with an action that is scheduled for the future (appears at the bottom of the list), then 16 actions above it were highlighted but not all of the actions above it.
I saw this behavior on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP SP2, both running Java 6 (one with update 3, the other the update 10 beta).
On a sidenote, in order to help collect data that you are interested in when issues are reported, perhaps add some sort of "Copy System Info" item to the Help menu or as a button on the About/Detail tab. This way I could easily copy/paste the system information that you are interested in. I only mention this because today was the first time I noticed the About/Detail tab and thought it was great information to include with every bug report, but (at least on Windows) I am not able to highlight and copy the data.
Thanks!
