Hi,

writing text in RC1 is noticably slower than in epsilon, because after
a few characters, cpu load goes to 100% and nothing updates
anymore. A few seconds later, the missing characters are added (or I
get these messages on the console:

and the cursor goes to the beginning of the text field). This happens
when editing actions in the project or single actions screen, but does
not happen when adding new thoughts.

Any ideas?

Which fields are you updating? The descriptions?

For performance reason, we have added a delay between the update on the panel and the update on the tree. Writing text should thus not seem slower.

Jeremy will investigate.

success or notes.

I am facing the same problem i.e cursor jumping back to point of origin. this happens when I am inputting text in the description field of single actions.

I've seen this also in epsilon, usually when the machine is loaded with other work.

When I then update actions in the action view, text input is very lagged and the cursor periodically jumps back to the beginning of the line. I suspect this is some sort of periodic thread that updates the view (reordering or whatever), which has the side effect of moving the cursor around.

Hi,

yes, epsilon has the occasional cursor jump, but rc1 is MUCH worse
and it's not only cursor jumps but character input lags a lot as well.
