I'm using Windows XP.

I noticed that the minimum width of the Action pane is set to about 800px. Below that value, textareas and text fields aren't resized and the horizontal scrollbar shows up.

For people who still use 1024x768 this means too little room for the Explorer tree. Having to scroll horizontally is very inconvenient.

It looks like this on my PC:

In 1.2.3 which I still use as primary version, the problem also appeared, but the mimimum width was a bit smaller.

Here's what I'd suggest:
- set minimum width to 500px.
- for textareas, force their resizing, no matter how narrow is the Action pane. Usually it is more convenient to scroll vertically than horizontally.

Thanks,
Robert

Hi All,

Are we able to change these settings themselves as I have only just started using the product and already am finding the horizontal scrolling a hindrance to the collection of thought process.

Thanks

The font size can be changed (see FAQ). Also the horizontal bar (below the actions list) and the vertical bar (right of the projects tree) can be moved. The application will remember the positions after exiting.

Same problem here as Vroobelek:

The input fields are too width.

I have read that the minimum width can be changed but haven't found how to do this.

Can anyone help me?

Far from it.

Keep in mind you are posting about the Epsilon release just as the new 2.0 is very close to being available, so other users are probably more focused on that, and I'm fairly sure the developers are rather focused on that too :)

Input field width being too large has been discussed a number of times. It is much better in 2.0 RC2, you can resize the bottom left pane a little bit and then there is no horizontal scrolling in the bottom right pane, whereas in Epsilon on 1024x768 you'd have to practically resize the bottom left pane away in order to prevent horizontal scrolling.

Until 2.0 is released, you may like to know that by double clicking the header for the bottom right pane it will maximize. Double click it again to put it back to normal. You may like to do that for now when you want to edit an individual action.

It's not ready for day-to-day use, but you'll find the links in the Announcement forum. If you try it out, make backups of your data and read all the notes first.
