I'm currently running TR under Windows XP SP3 at work just fine and at home on Vista Ultimate 32-bit, but I was wondering if TR will run under Vista 64-bit?

Jeremy, thanks for the response but are you saying "should be ok" based on personal experience? or do you know of someone who's running TR ok under Vista 64-bit?

Let me know since I'm looking for a for sure answer before I dive into the world of 64-bit only to find out that applications that I was sure would run don't...I'm sure you know what I mean....thanks again! :)

I have not run it on a Vista 64 bit OS but I would be surprised if it did not run ok - especially if you use the Windows 64 bit Java from http://java.sun.com

Ok, thanks...hopefully it will...I'm getting close to going 64-bit but all my applications aren't ready yet, so I'll probably end up doing a dual-boot system to play with 64-bit until it's ready for my day-to-day PC.

I've had some non-reproducible issues with amd64 bit on linux. Details of my system below. Occasionally a window will pop-up and be blank, i.e. border but no text or buttons. I've had this mostly when deleting actions from the actions screen, but also when trying to add a new context. Sometimes it happens, mostly it doesn't and Ican't find any pattern to it. It's not a show-stopper.

I have just noticed that I sometimes have the same problem with freemind, so I think it is a java problem and not a TR-specific problem.

It runs just fine in 32-bit compatibility mode. I've also run it once in 64 bit mode and all seemed well, but it is not setup to run that way by default, and not something I'd recommend for the faint of heart.

I have been running TR 32bit under Vista 64bit since April and it works OK.

The only issue I have is the first time I open a calendar pop-up it takes a while (like 15 secs) but the subsequent calendars open in a normal fashion (less than a second)

You gave me a good idea. I will install Java 64bit and see what does it do for TR!
