I'm using TR 2.0.1 on Java 1.6.0_06

With the epsilon version I had different actions screens with different installations, i.e. one at work and one at home. So when I hit the Actions icon after start-up I got only the work related stuff or the private stuff. I read in the help that now the configuration of the Actions screens is stored in a file next to the data file.
Is there a way to tell each installation to look for a different file? Or any other way that I could immediately get only the work/private actions when I open the tool?
I know that I can change the filters but I'd rather not do that at every start-up.

If your data files are in different folders, ThinkingRock will save different settings of the Review Actions screen, resetting the screen appropriately as your open the different data files. The settings are saved in a file called ReviewActions.xml.

Hi Claire,
thanks for your reply. I see now that I forgot to provide some important information: I have only one datafile on a USB stick. The idea was to have all the actions available, especially the possibility to add actions (work and private) at any time as they come up. But I want to see only the relevant part of them.
Is there a way to have a different set of actions screens with separate installations if there is only one datafile?

Do you realise that in TR 2.0.1 you could create a home tab and a work tab?

I know it's not quite what you asked for but you would be only one click away.

Yes, that's what I'm using now but that was already possible in Epsilon. The beauty of what I'm looking for is that you get presented only the relevant data when you view the actions, i.e. every time you hit the Actions icon. Oh well, it is not a major issue and apart from this single point I'm fairly happy with TR 2.0.1.
Maybe it is more something for the wishlist: a configurable name for the Actions screens config file per installation that defaults to ReviewActions.xml but can be changed.

How do you share your data between the work and home machine? USB stick?
You could make two batch scrips that copy the proper ReviewActions.xml file to the right location, one for work and one for home, and then have it start TR.

About the only way I'd see having the ReviewActions.xml file be configurable would be a command-line option and then you can have multiple shortcuts with different command-line options, otherwise you'd have to store that setting somewhere too and you'd run into the same problem of sharing the ReviewActions.xml file in the first place.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll see what I can do to make it work.
