I think another great option to display ASAP items, scheduled or delegated would be the use of a "Calendar View" "à la" Outlook or Google Calendar : week, month or next X weeks...

This would solve graphically the display of due items (that would be reported as DUE in the today's box), next actions would also be there and the rest of the calendar would give an excellent overview of what's coming next...

This in fact would even be better than Outlook : displaying the task in the calendar could be a great function, IMHO.

I am using ReminderFox as a list of reminders and future tasks.

It is simple, interactive con Thunderbird, works offline and, from my point of view, is "in the spirits" of GTD.

The reference to ReminderFox come into mind as a possible hint to devise a "calendar view" in T-R. Something that can be deployed reminding you the ASAP Next Actions and your list of appointments for the day(s) fully synchronized with the "main" T-R frames.

Hope it helps. For me, as for others, T-R needs a better and self-integrated screen for calendar.
