I agree,

the views are very powerful. But it took me some hours playing around with them to get the right setting for my needs. Those hours are too much for a newbie, they possibly will give up first. I have now the following views:

-> today
for todays hard landscape

-> calendar
to review past and future hard landscape

-> next action -lists
to work off these lists´once today has been cleared

-> waiting for
to be checked during the weekly review

-> done
to be checked during the weekly review

I stripped off most of the fields and the functionality of TR (using a very small number of filters and display switches above the lists) to get back to KISS as much as possible.

I turned off as well time, priority and energy and all due dates wherever possible (two different places IIRC).
