Thank you, thank, you, thank you!
I just downloaded this the other day and I was really surprised I hadn't heard of it before. I've been more-and-less using GTD since sometime in 2005, and I've tried several different implementations. The Hipster PDA works fine for personal life but I needed something more persistent for work.
IMHO, ThinkingRock works much better for me than:
-- pen and paper
-- excel spreadsheet
-- emacs planner-mode
for the following reasons:
-- the "paper" is inifinitely large
and you can insert anywhere
-- a NextAction can be tracked with respect to project AND context, without duplicating information
-- multiple views of the landscape, without being a contortionist
-- "done" items still exist, and you can show/hide them
-- pending items can be listed before they're actionable
-- storage in a text file (readable in case of tragedy, platform-independent, and even subject to version control if you wish)
-- nice look-and-feel
How has Merlin Mann not covered this wonderful app? Must spread the word...
Looking forward to the next release and the source release!
