Updates since my last post here:
  • Added tooltip for icon launcher (2.0.1-0ubuntu3)
  • Fixed dependency on Bash (2.0.1-0ubuntu2)
  • Initial Ubuntu package (2.0.1-0ubuntu2)

Package is still awaiting approval to move to official Ubuntu repositories. You can see progress here: http://revu.ubuntuwire.com/details.py?package=thinkingrock.

Debian repository with ThinkingRock package is currently unavailable, because of moving from my server to Ubuntu Personal Package Archive. Thanks for understanding.

The package is now in Ubuntu's Launchpad.

Please change the code at 'http://www.thinkingrock.com.au/download.php' after 'Enter these commands:' to this:

Code:
sudo -s
echo deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/salutis/ubuntu intrepid main > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/salutis.list
aptitude update && aptitude install thinkingrock

If you can, please check if it works for you. Thanks!

I tried it and it worked perfectly for me.

Let's also put it in the website as soon as possible, cause it took my quite some time till I found the right repositories to download the package.

Great work and thanks for the cool piece of software :)

I tried to install today and Thinking Rock is no longer in this repository. My /etc/apt/sources.list.d/salutis.list contains:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/salutis/ubuntu intrepid main

I couldn't get it to install either. I was using ThinkingRock for several months on Jaunty Jackalope with no problems. Then the operating system took a crap on me one day (unrelated issue). After reinstalling Hardy Heron, and running those three commands in the command-line, I get: 'Couldn't find any package whose name or description matched "thinkingrock".' Should I change intrepid to hardy in the second command, or is it something else?

P.S. It really shatters your way of life, when you have to go without it. David Allen warned about not having everything on paper.

UPDATE: I fingered out how to run it from the tarball. It wasn't nearly as complicated as some installations. It was more like a copy and paste than an installation. Now I just need to figure out how to make an icon for my Applications menu and panel launcher. It didn't seem to want to use the .png that was in the bin folder.

No joy with my install either. I'm running Jaunty. I got the following back from the system.

Code:

W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net intrepid Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 4BDB868079581714

I assume the 66.2 kb was Thinking Rock, but it didn't get installed.
